Recap of Our Interactive Teacher Training Webinar

On Sunday 6th April2025, I had the pleasure of hosting a powerful, hands-on webinar titled “Creating Interactive Quizzes with Google Forms & Kahoot”, where educators from all over came together to explore how technology can transform classroom assessments into engaging, learner-driven experiences.

In a world where traditional tests are no longer enough, interactive quizzes are the future—and in this session, we discovered exactly how to build them.

Why Interactive Quizzes?

We kicked things off by exploring why quizzes matter in a modern classroom. It’s not just about testing knowledge anymore — it’s about making learning active, fun, and immediate. Tools like Google Forms and Kahoot give educators a simple but powerful way to:

  • Save time with auto-marked quizzes
  • Engage learners through gamified competition
  • Deliver instant feedback
  • Track progress and identify learning gaps

What We Covered

Here’s a quick look at what participants learned during the session:

🟢 Google Forms for Self-Marking Quizzes

  • How to create different question types (MCQs, short answers, checkboxes)
  • Turning a form into a quiz with auto-grading features
  • Adding images, videos, and answer feedback
  • Sharing quizzes via links or email
  • Viewing results and exporting to Google Sheets

🟢 Kahoot for Gamified Assessments

Kahoot is a game-based learning platform used to create fun and interactive quizzes.
  • Creating live, competitive quizzes that work on any device
  • Setting time limits, adding media, and customizing layouts
  • Hosting games in real-time with a Game PIN
  • Tracking player scores and responses instantly
  • Using Kahoot for revisions, ice-breakers, and club activities

We also discussed when to use each tool, with Kahoot being best for quick engagement and group participation, and Google Forms being ideal for formal assessments and asynchronous learning.

Each Tool Can be used for appropriate purposes

What Teachers Said

“I didn’t know quizzes could be this fun and simple to make!”
“Kahoot will be my new go-to for Friday revisions!”
“Now I can assess my students even when I’m not in class.”

The feedback was incredible, and I’m so proud of the teachers who participated actively and asked thought-provoking questions.
